Exterior House Washing: How Does Soft Washing Work?

Soft washing is an exterior house washing method that can remove dirt, grime, algae, moss, mildew, and other contaminants from exterior surfaces, including siding, decks, roofs, and more. It’s called “soft” washing because the process uses low-pressure water and specialized cleaning solutions to clean and treat surfaces gently without causing damage.

Exterior House Washing: How Does Soft Washing Work?

During this exterior house washing process, a specialized cleaning solution, which typically consists of water and biodegradable detergents, is prepared. Using low-pressure spraying equipment, the cleaning solution is evenly distributed over the surface to thoroughly cover all the grime and buildup.

This solution will be left to sit on the surface for a specified period of time, giving it the opportunity to break down and loosen contaminants, which makes them easier to remove. If the contaminants are particularly thick or stubborn, a soft brush may be used to agitate the cleaning solution.

Once the cleaning solution has been left to sit, it will be thoroughly rinsed away with low-pressure water. This rinsing process removes the solution along with any loosened contaminants, leaving the surface clean, sanitized, and free of unsightly residue.

Sof washing is an exterior house washing method that gets incredible, long-lasting results. In fact, the results can last anywhere from four to six times longer than normal pressure washing techniques.
